I've realised that I don't/haven't use/used most of the icons I've downloaded, but if it's there, I've downloaded it.

Ohmygosh, it's my second batch of icons. My internet died before I could finish this post and upload my icons.

This is the first list of resources for my very first batch of icons on LJ. There are 45 icons in total, and I'll come back to edit this once I've posted them.

Time for a change.

First of all, I have to acknowledge the fact that I got this fabulous header from claire-kay @ LJ. I didn't bother resizing it or anything.

Second, I'm just going to use this blog as my pack-mule for crediting and pretty much listing all of the resources I use for graphics and whatnot, again, over at my journal.

Feel free to follow, comment, or whatever tickles your fancy. And yeah, I'm even going to leave my silly old blog posts there, unrestrained and rampant. That's not the case, but I'm sure I'll have a laugh somewhere along the line.

Well, hey there.

So, I haven't posted in forever. Shoot me.
I thought I'd just say how much I admire this fierce bench, Adam Lambert. He's pretty much my Idol.

YUM, John Barrowman.
Shame Gareth David-Lloyd or David Tennant weren't on there though.
BRB, shaking and crying.
Kidding, though he is one fine piece of work!!

Harry Potter 6

I saw the latest Harry Potter movie yesterday, which I was really looking forward to. This will count as my complaint and my review for the movie, and I will most especially point out the differences between the book and the movie, which quite possibly could have cost the movie some of it's integrity.

Really, I was annoyed with the ending, I think it went way too long, especially the cave part.
I liked the beginning.
I'm sorry to say, that I cannot stand canon pairings. I liked Ron and Hermione, because that's the only one I can really endure, but the whole Ginny and Harry thing was a bit overdone, and I expected a bit more of Ginny.
I loved Malfoy's role. Besides the fact that he's a "stupid git" and a coward, I really like him.
I loved the line between Harry and Prof. Slughorn:
"Harry!"
"Sir!"
Oh, you have to see it to believe it.
Um, I don't like that they completely skipped Bill and Fleur's relationship, as seen in the chapter "An Excess of Phlegm". It leaves a big hole in the next one...Maybe it's a deleted scene.
What else?
Dumbledore's funeral never went ahead. I don't like that either.
Also, I expected more fight scenes, bigger fights, especially the end. The one by the Burrow was really just filler.
And lastly, I think I wanted more magic. I don't really know what more to say, but I'm bound to do some more research on this.
My review? 6/10. Shame.

Awards

Emmy Nominations were announced last Thursday, so I am a bit slow, but I wanted to congratulate and cheer on the people who I think deserve it, as well as giving my opinion on the snubs.

Presenter Jim Parsons is up for Best Actor in a Comedy.
30 Rock is up for a record 22 nominations.
Chuck is up for Best Stunt Coordination for Chuck vs. the First Date. I'm quite appalled that Chuck didn't get any other noms.
See the rest of them here at ETOnline.
Other awards that I think deserve recognition are Television Without Pity's Tubey Awards. TWoP is a fansite, so I guess it's very appropriate that the fans can have their say. They have a set of ten polls each week in the summer, so I suggest you hop to it.
See the nominees and vote for your favourites here.

In Memory...

Ok, so yesterday I went to a funeral for my former coach Roger. He died last Friday. No-one really said what it was. It was my first funeral, and as I expected, was crying. Considering that I was just another athlete there, I wasn't that close or anything, but when it came to the prayers and what not, I just couldn't speak.

What I have learnt was several Maori funeral customs (not a Maori funeral though), a little bit more about my culture, more about my own parents and most especially, how to handle the barage of feelings when someone has died, to look upon the new life, eternal life and to be inspired by the very person you are commemorating the life of.

So, from the memories of Roger's close family and friends, along with my own personal experiences, I have been inspired by Roger's spirit, his love, and his devotion to his athletes. He always wanted everyone to do their best, and was always there to help.

From my time with Roger, at the gym and on the track; after spending Sunday mornings doing sprint training while he cracked jokes and pumping weights to the best of my ability while he looked on, I really did gain more confidence in myself, my own skills and my strengths. Hell, I may not have been a fast runner or anything, but I tried the things he wanted me to. I thought back to when I first met him at Vulcan's Gym, April 2008. I was scared to meet this man: short white hair, small in height, but he was full of muscles. He had a gruff-sounding voice to match that exterior. Typical coach material. He shook my hand and I giggled tentatively. Oh hell, I was a 14-year-old standing in a gym with a bunch of men I didn't even know. He wanted to know who I was, what sport I did, but the rest was really up to my mum. I was going to start training for my strength. When I did, I remember doing the 45 degree leg press. I lay down and looked up at the strange machine literally at my feet. Without any weights, and Roger holding on for support, I gave it a go. For 0kg, it seemed pretty heavy to me. A few months later, I was pressing 100kg, 120kg, 140kg for several reps. Oh yeah, that was all Roger.

I remember one game, from last season, it was the Preliminary Finals for 16W2; Bankstown vs. Sutherland at Bankstown on Court 2. We had a 12 o'clock game or something like that. I arrived at the Athletics Track at the Ridge for a 9am sprint session. They were normally meant to go for half an hour, but tended to be more. It didn't matter, as it made all the difference. I went to my game. I may have been tired from running around, and I thought of Roger. He'd trained me for the purpose of getting faster for basketball, and this was my moment. We won that game and went on to lose the Grand Finals, but nonetheless, a job well done; my stamina and incresed speed had pulled me through. I'm dedicating those times to Roger.

To conclude, I dedicate this post to Roger Green; a loving man, tough on the outside, but a true softie on the inside. You are an inspiration to me, and my aspirations, my future. I'd really hope to get to the Olympics: it sounded so good when you were around. Thank you. Rest in peace, and I hope to see you again.

My inspirational song of the moment: We'll Fight - Something With Numbers

"Against the others, we'll prevail
Against the odds, we won't fail

We'll pick up all the pieces and we'll fight"

This totally explains it...

Ok, I was just reading something which I found particularly funny over at ONTD_AI. Post is here.
They're all on about this poll which came out on Gawker, all about who the readers thought were gay. (click to enlarge)
After reading the comments, I see the fuss.
Personally, I find it hilarious that Ryan Seacrest is considered gayer than Adam Lambert, even though Adam came out ON THE COVER OF ROLLING STONE MAGAZINE. And I'm 100% sure if you look up "Adam Lambert" in Google Images, you find pictures of him making out with his ex. The pictures are from Vote For The Worst.
I find it especially weird - and I didn't even remotely know that Zachary Quinto or Jason Mraz was gay!! Ricky Martin was no surprise. I do think the people voting for Michael Jackson are being a bit insulting...but whatever.
On a side note, I was showing my mum the first pictures I found on ONTD_AI of the Portland Idol Show. The pictures were really cool, and what was even better was that they were all placed in categories with the contestants' names, Allison, Adam, Danny, etc. So, I was scrolling down the page and then I get up to the Kradam ones. I sort of froze up, thinking "oh no, what will she think?". I mean, they were only doing a duet and stuff, but I think the title would have shocked her. I lingered. She laughed. "Kradam!" She laughed. I was relieved.
So really, that was my day. I think I'm bored, but the good thing is holidays start tomorrow, so I will try to post more often.
I have no problem with your ~ghey.

Mad World

I really did have some other kind of post going on...but I don't remember.

I caught a fish today!! :D
And my brother got a tablet. No, not like Panadol, but a graphics one. Wacom Bamboo Fun, it's called. It's really cool, but I was sort of jealous, I mean, he's just turned 12, far out!!
Anyway, I wanted to post the lyrics to the song I'm addicted to right now.
I also love that Adam Lambert did this song on American Idol. ENJOY, BBs.
Mad World- Tears For Fears
All around me are familiar faces
Worn out places, worn out faces
Bright and early for their daily races
Going nowhere, going nowhere
And their tears are filling up their glasses
No expression, no expression
Hide my head I want to drown my sorrow
No tomorrow, no tomorrow
And I find it kind of funny
I find it kind of sad
The dreams in which I'm dying
Are the best I've ever had
I find it hard to tell you
'Cos I find it hard to take
When people run in circles
It's a very, very
Mad World
Children waiting for the day they feel good
Happy Birthday, Happy Birthday
Made to feel the way that every child should
Sit and listen, sit and listen
Went to school and I was very nervous
No one knew me, no one knew me
Hello teacher tell me what's my lesson
Look right through me, look right through me

Sway Sway Baby

Quick post before I go.
Yeah, today, my friends performed their acoustic rendition of Short Stack's Sway Sway Baby.
I recorded it on my phone, but I don't know how to put in on the computer because my phone is weird :S
We're talking about it on Facebook.
I suggested that they should send it to the boys- Andy, Bradie and Shaun - to see what they thought. I really hope they do it.
Love you guys!!

Did I Miss Something?

No seriously.

Over at ONTD_AI are all these posers. Are they RL? LOL.
There's a Paula, Sarver, Kris, Randy, Kara?, Scott, Anoop, Matt?, Danny and 2 Adams. Yeah, that's the fun part.
I had no clue what was going on, like an invasion or something? It's really funny.
My mum is all like LOL.
KROS OLLON LMAO. Nuff said.

Epic

Ok, Blogger is being a bench.

Basically, the Twitterverse has had a revalation of sorts.
It all started at the EPIC COMM. THAT IS ONTD. All they had to do was point it out, and it went crazy.ONTD wanted to point out how Danny Gokey's family are homophobic and #gokeyisadouche is going mad! I feel sorta guilty, but come on.
#gokeyisadouche went wild all over the internet, thousands have tweeted, including me, and so the war is raging!
As of now, Danny Gokey is more important that the Iran Election, and the most hated man on the internet...or at least the Twitterverse.
I commend the Adam fans and Gokey haters that went out and did that, because we all know it's true.

Wow

Ugh, haven't posted in a week.

Nothing interesting, beside Adam Lambert's Rolling Stone cover AND article, which I'm reading now!!
Picked school subjects. Here they are:
  1. Extension English (plus Advanced)
  2. Chemistry
  3. Society and Culture
  4. Extension Maths (plus Mathematics)
  5. Biology
So if I don't get those, I've got Modern History, Business Studies, Physics, Legal Studies and last resort Ancient History.

Inshalla

I was bored and quite uninspired so I got inspired to make my own wallpaper for Eskimo Joe's new album Inshalla. It's very simple and took me five minutes to do.

3 Shirtless Hunks

Hehehe...I wouldn't dare post this on World of Twilight...or would I? Doesn't matter, too late.
Anyway, I log onto my computer this morning to check out my totally new and really awesome New Moon wallpaper. It's fan-made by a girl called Antonella. She wouldn't let people hotlink, so the link to her site is here.

So, I was looking through my dashboard when I see this piece of gold waiting for me. Mmm... yeah. A Poll on People.com, "Which Twilight Hunk has the Best Chest?" I could not resist. I immediately clicked on the link to vote for either Rob, Cam or Tay.
In my opinion, Taylor's got the best chest, but Cam has the best abs...Rob is...hot. But cold. As Edward. Anyway, I'll just link to the site so you can decide for yourself. Yummy Yummy Pervy Time here.

MTV Movie Awards

This is just my tiny scoop from the minuscule 5 minutes of the MTV Movie Awards I saw. Thankfully, I had impeccable timing as tuned in when they announced the Breakthrough Male Award.

Nominees were Dev Patel, Taylor Lautner, Bob'ee Something, Ben Barnes and Robert Pattinson. No duh who won...Rob did!! Congrats love, you are gorgeous on stage...not to mention as Edward Cullen.
Though I didn't hang around for the New Moon trailer to be aired, I caught the next incident. One Bruno- Sasha Baron Cohen- flying around above the crowd when his rig stops, and he slowly descends, baring his rear and tea-bagging Eminem. Surely, it was much funnier than I make it sound, but it was an accident, I've heard.
I must say that as Zac Efron won Best Male Personality, I was outraged, but damn, did he look good. He just needs a haircut.
Also, a scene from Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince aired. It was a pensieve scene...with Tom Riddle as a kid. I don't know how to describe the scene but the effects were awesome.
I haven't got much more to say, but I really did love the NM trailer, when I saw it.
Much love.

New Phone

Oooh, it's been years (literally) since I've had a new phone, and it was my first!!

I now have 2 phones, which I'm trying in one week periods, and let me say, for the phone I've got going now, it's not looking good!
They're both Motorola's on the Telstra Next G Network, which is cool for me!
I have the same number, but I have no credit :\
It's a day of history haha!!
Something else is that I'm also in the process of making a new header!!

Web Icon #1

Here is the web icon.

It says "World of Twilight" (:

It's a bit low-res...whoops. Not my fault. JPG can't handle transparency.
